no bunfights over the prizes, ladies!
FiFi AGM
Held annually in May in Septfonds, FiFi's official address.
Followed by lunch in a local restaurant for an informal get-together.
Vide Dressing
Held annually in April in Septfonds, this is our fundraiser and is an amazing event...THE 'go to' to replenish your wardrobe!! Members kindly donate clothes & accessories and their time, and willing volunteers sort/iron/hang/price items and give guidance to shoppers on the day...
All proceeds are donated to a charitable organisation chosen by our members. In 2018, over 1,600 € was given to "La Maison des Femmes", a women's refuge in Albi. In 2019, 1909,78 € was raised and was donated to "Restos du Coeur", chosen by members as that year's charity. In 2022, after a gap due to Cover, we raised over 2000 € which was donated to the Ukraine Disaster Fund
Apéros at the chateau
Held annually in late spring in member Lizzie's chateau in Auty, (merci!) This is a glorious afternoon where members and their guests nibble and natter and quaff bubbly....get out that pretty dress!
Group Leaders' BBQ
Held annually in late summer to say 'thank you' to all the Group Leaders and volunteers for their input and efforts.
Food home cooked by Committee members.
Christmas Boxes
For three years: 2016-18, members bought and wrapped gifts and popped them in a prettily wrapped shoebox to gladden the hearts of the ladies in "La Maison des Femmes", the women's refuge in Albi.
We delivered around 40 boxes, each containing 5 to 6 gifts, and it was a joy to see the smiles on the ladies' faces!
In 2019, we collected a present each for a man and a woman, and presented them to the Croix Rouge in Caussade....as reported in La Dépêche!
Not done since the pandemic...à revoir ?
Christmas Lunch
A special lunch in a lovely restaurant with a festive menu suitable for all. In the past we have had Christmas crackers but have now decided to abandon a not altogether ecological ritual, and since 2019 we have done a "Secret Santa" with each member donating a more environmentally-friendly "cadeau", such as homemade truffles, a jar of jam (or even honey for those with bees!), a charity shop purchase or preloved gift. so everyone had a pretty prezzie on their plate at lunch!!
